This always helped me - the Center Channel exactly connects crown and base chakra. Sit straight as for meditation. With proper alignment the channel will run down from the center point of your head down to your base. It runs in front of the spine, the Tantiens are the big knots/nexuses on it - the Center Channel connects all Tantiens.

I lie down on the flat floor with no pillow, but I might try a seated position against a wall


I do use the lower dantien as a starting point in trying to find the sushumna. But I have not been able to find a concrete tube, that I can trace all the way up....

Have you been able to experience the center channel to the point where you feel the electric inner core and the magnetic outer sheath as described by the book "Energy Work"?

Start by imagining them the way they might look, feel, and even sound if they seem to have a sound to you.

I've not gotten it to work everytime on my own, but for whatever reason if I do it with a partner its easier. Just a suggestion.
