Question about affirmations

Do unhelpful beliefs about why affirmations may not work always only delay the time that the affirmations will work (if the affirmations are continued to be said until they work), or can some prevent entirely the affirmations from working?

negative statements and thoughts will counter affirmations.

You'd have to run a score to see what effect they would have.

My suggestion is to redouble time spent saying verbal and silent affirmations, so you drown out any counter affirmations.
