View Full Version : Body oscillation but no joy

When I enter a deep trance ... using a technique i picked up by accident (I just meld and focus on being empty space for about 15 min.... then my body shuts down), I'm not sure what goes on or how deep I am into trance. My physical sensations meld away and I feel like a single point of consciousness... Or I feel like im in the void. Once in this void i feel like i'm oscilating, is this the vibrations described in MAP? It's not a surge, or intense or something i can control (havn't really tried) but it feels like something is spinning or oscilating in or around me; it's hard to explain... but hopefully it's enough for an answer.

it only lasts 45 seconds to a minute unless i really focus on maintaining it... which extends it a little further. It doesn't really feel like the vibrations described in MAP, is it?

any helpful tips on post "void" techniques would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
ciao

Probably not. Any energy work or meditation can give you light vibrations, and they are energy sensations as opposed to transitional sensations.
What you are calling 'void' is probably a result of retinal fatigue, and not a true 'void' experience (a way to test for this is to move your gaze from where it's fixed- if vision returns, you were probably experiencing retinal fatigue, and not a void experience.)
A void experience usually happens after projection (that is, you project into the void) the void is a nonlocal area (no other way to describe it I can think of) in-between dimensions, and can be used as a portal.
If you are floating in nothingness, (a void experience) just wait until something manifests (or float in total bliss) like a door or a light or a star, and then direct your attention to the visual point, and you will go towards it. When you do, you will find yourself on an astral plane/locale/region.
Some people just prefer to stay in the void, reveling in the 'nothingness'. Your call.

I forgot to add- if you are in trance, and are vibrating, then following the directions in MAP to follow up with an OBE should do the trick, if they are projection sensations.
Vibrations are not all the same.
There is a post entitled "Guide to Vibrations" my Magickist in the OBE Research and Discussions subforum that you may find of interest.
