What is your explanation on dreaming?

There are countless explanations for dreaming, I couldn't begin to tell you how many theories I've heard of.

With that said, what is your explanation on dreaming? Why do you think we do it?

I think the subconscious is another dimension of our minds; that we live there just as much as the conscious realm. And I believe we have bodies in this other dimension, call them astral bodies if you like.

I think all the theories are correct- I think dreaming is just many more parts of the spectrum of consciousness, and there's many mechanisms in play.
