Don't ever let anyone tell you astronomers never see UFOs. That's the most persistent myth out there amongst 'skeptics'.

Back in the late 80s I had a friend whose dad was an air traffic controller, a very conservative man. He said UFOs were common.

My father once worked in a NORAD building, and one of the offices in there had RADAR equipment to monitor air traffic. They saw lots of things they couldn't identify easily. Eventually, most things do get identified, but there are always a small percentage that never do.
The military see UFOs all the time. So does anyone who regularly scans the sky.

I've never seen one, either. Been looking since I was a kid. I was even a member of an astronomy club, out standing in my field...

I used to sleep in a lawn chair all summer long when I was a kid. It never occurred to me to look for UFOs, though I don't know what i was looking for...

One thing I found very weird and wonderful was moving to the Southern Hemisphere after a lifetime in the Northern one. The constellations are totally different, and the moon is kind of upside down to the way you view it in the North. I wasn't too bothered by the constellations (my favourite, Orion, is still here, though he's upside down), but the upside down moon really freaked me out for a long time.
