i dreamed of meteors falling from the sky into my old childhood neighbourhood.
i ran to the crater and picked up the ball of glowing rock.
it was the size of a basketball.
then another fell, and again i ran to collect it before anyone else could.
i had to get them before any officials could, or they'd be lost to humanity. something like that.

what did they feel like in your hands?

There was a 14-year-old kid who was hit by one recently and he got a 3 inch cut on his hand.

I wonder if you went to this kid and experienced what happened to him?

the big one in my hands was crispy, like a layer of crust which kinda crumbled in my hands. then i could feel an energy emanating from within.
i didn't feel much with the second one. i was more concerned with not letting the "people in charge" get their hands on it.

i heard about that kid getting hit by one today. how cool!

Note: some of these stories are extremely long and hard to read. the first link is by far the most important one and the only one you gotta read.

STUDIES AND POSITION PAPERS

- I posted this here so you could scroll down and see that the Position Paper on Orbital Debris is "under construction(has been for 4 years)" and has not yet been posted; i.e. it is unavailable.
A quote:
"(3) The unique case of 2008 TC3 showed that even with the current survey systems it is possible to detect a small NEA very close to impact, accurately predict the impact time and place, and recover meteorites. "
part of what they're saying, seems to be calibration; i.e. they want to detect and recover meteorites and calibrate their equipment and equations to be more accurate as a "first line of defense" against "near earth objects" which they plan to shoot down with nuclear weapons if necessary.

ps. - you can view the Declaration of Principles Concerning Activities Following the Detection of Extraterrestrial Intelligence here as well.
