hey, i've been working on astral projection for only a few days and i've already been able to get my right arm out. can anyone give me tips on getting my whole body out? also, i've talked to some of my friends and i've told them i lucid dream a lot and they say that is the reason why i'm so good at it. is there any truth to that?

Are you doing the MAP program?

what's the MAP program? actually, i'll tell you what i've been doing. i've been just closing my eyes, getting into a relaxed position, and visualizing my body standing up in my mind. i slowly tell a section to shut down and release the astral form of that section, like my arm, and then i move the astral section out of the physical section and try to move on to another. my problem is maintaining one section while moving another out. if you wouldn't mind, tell me what the MAP program is or direct me to the right post on the forum if it's already up, please? anyway, that's what i do when trying to project.

The Mastering Astral Projection is the program that was developed by Robert Bruce and Brian Mercer, which is the subject of this specific subforum. The purpose and schedule (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14702) of the program are explained in the announcements and stickied topics in this specific subforum.
For geneal information on all this material read Robert's Treatise on Astral Projection (http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/astral-projection/index.html), in the main website, (which is the free tutorial) or purchase the MAP program.
For more information on OBEs and such, please go to the OBE Research and Discussion (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewforum.php?f=7) forum and read all the stickied topics- they probably have all you need.
