Dahn Yoga

Has anyone here heard of Dahn Yoga? There is a center near where I live, and I have recently joined the class. It does not seem to be a traditional yoga program, however I don't know much about yoga so I can't say for sure. The reason I ask is that there is an online debate as to whether or not Dahn Yoga is a cult. I am enjoying the class so far, but some of the things that have been said about instructors at different locations are eerily true of the instructors I have met. So far to me it doesn't seem like a cult, just people who enjoy yoga but also have perfectly normal lives. I am aware of the benefits of yoga, but the fear of being brainwashed is beginning to block my progress.

Keep your eyes and ears open. Trust your intuition. If you start seeing things or hear teachings that set off internal alarms, pay attention to them. If you ever start feeling controlled or constricted by the class, this could be an early warning sign as well.
