View Full Version : Something I noticed in my picture...

It's been a long time since I've posted on here, I do log on and read every so often though. I was hiking today and taking some pictures and was reviewing them when I got home and noticed this picture had something interesting in the right lower side of the frame. It's a reflection of something I'm not quite sure just what it is though. Thoughts anyone? It looks like a figure of a man like object standing behind me, take into mind I was leaning a bit over the water standing on a rock and nobody else was there with me.

Edit: Oh and I just noticed this wasn't the right area to post this my bad!

Very interesting, I saw it before reading the post.
Where do you think this should go?

Thanks! I guess in the Parapsychology, Ghosts, and Poltergeists section. Was looking at this earlier and even shown my g/f and room mates. The immediate reaction they get is negative. I'm not sure where to stand, but it certainly does not look like a guardian angel...but at the time I wasn't overwhelmed with sense of a negative presence so I'm not sure maybe it was something I've become accustomed to or just a curious spirit.

The impression I got was of an elemental being that lives out in nature. Except that it looks really human, which would make it a ghost.... interesting.

What's the theory behind the ability of cameras to capture ghosts, elementals etc. in a picture?
Anyone knows?

Hmm I never really thought of that. An elemental being...very interesting.

Anyone knows? No idea, but if I were to make a guess, I'd guess that the emf produced by the ghosts (and that is pretty standard documented phenomena- that ghosts seem to produce emf) somehow leave a 'mark' on the media used for recording- be it digital or film.
Of course, it also can be said that the picture is not of a being, but simply that the shadows are natural of the plants and that we see the figure in it by coincidence. It is known that the human brain has the 'software' in it to recognize patterns, and we do it naturally, (hence our propensity to see faces in clouds, etc.).
Whether the picture is of a tree with interesting shadows in it or a representation of an independent being, depends on your belief system, or lack of it.
I'm sure there are experts out there that can tell the difference.
I think it's cool. 8)

If we knew how (and if  ) ghosts get captured on video, we could possibly develop goggles that would allow us to see ghost in real time.
That would be interesting :D

"Psi Technologies - we make supernatural natural" That's why I want to get IR goggles. To see if there's something 'else' you can see at night with the lights off. So now you know what to get me for Christmas.

ps. I don't believe in the word 'supernatural'. I always found it kind of ... lame. If it exists in nature it's natural. Paranormal maybe, because not everyone 'sees' what others see (like wstein just proved). But that's just how I see it.
In the past people have used the word 'natural' to mean 'what I believe in'- even if it has nothing o do with nature.

Maybe electric and magnetic fields detector. :) That could be also interesting. If there is a way to display it in some kind of viewer it would be good. Don't know if that kind of technology is commercially available.
Instead of IR goggles maybe a thermo vision camera. Might be better to see things. :D

maybe a thermo vision camera. Might be better to see things. But aren't those expensive?
