Hi,
There’s no other way to say it so here it is, I’m a past substance abuser. Prior to that I have had an OOB experience. That was after trying some techniques found one of Robert Monroe’s books. That experience never left me and I wish to pursue it, however I find that relaxing is a problem. Compared to then and now, it seems that I lost some control of my body in the way that I can’t purposely relax the way I want to. My question is, am I able to overcome this problem based on my past?

G'day,

Yes, this can be overcome.

I suggest you discuss this with your doctor, and a loving psychologist.

Daily affirmations (verbal) and a raw organic diet would also help.

If the above don't work for you, then I recommend practice. If you practice meditation for an hour or two per day, you will progressively deepen your relaxation.

The Journeys out of the body CDs would also help. See my website for link.
