View Full Version : Psychic dreaming - Hurricane Gustav

It seems my sleeping mind has picked up on future events again. Back on the 1st of March I had this dream and recorded it online elsewhere:

....At some point I'm dreaming a false awakening and I'm aware it's a false awakening but not lucid enough to do anything with the situation.

I hear a "radio", like last time, I listen carefully to ascertain whether it's real or dreamt. It appears to make sense. It's Triple J and the music is something familiar that I don't know the name of. There is, however, no radio in H's room. I fumble around trying to hit the snooze button.

L, a girl who started with me at this new job, comes into the room playing classical guitar. It doesn't sound bad. I don't question her presence. Now S, a guy who also started when we did, sits near me on the bed and I show him what I'm writing in my dream diary. It's the dream I've just finished having:

My "mother" is giving me new clothes. They're tops of different designs and I really love them.
Some are long-sleeved and some short-sleeved. They're in patterns and plains and in a range of
colours. I'm amazed that all this is for me and the other "children" are similarly endowed. "Mother"
is a large, brown-skinned woman. "Father's" name is "Gustav". I explain to S that this is a pun for
"Good stuff." I ask father where we got the money for all the new clothes and he says it's because
we traded away the old stuff.

Now I'm writing "Gustav" on my husband's neck or head (he shaves his head)- I think this is because
I saw him write a reminder on his hand earlier in the day. It's now that I attain lucidity....

On Sunday, I was surprised to see the hurricane threatening New Orleans was "Gustav". Coming home on Monday, I had a strong intuition there'd be a parcel for me. I was expecting books but not yet.

There was a parcel waiting, exactly as I'd seen. For the first time ever, my dad got my birthday wrong and sent the present a month early. It was a pretty top.

Later, lying in bed mentally reviewing the "Good stuff/Gustav" dream, which I'd re-read on the Sunday. It occured to me that Gustav was my father in the dream and my mother, a large brown woman, was dressing me in many different types of blouses.

So these elements are at play in a dream back on the first of March: a large brown woman (New Orleans?), Gustav (the hurricane - which maybe isn't as bad as anticipated and may, in a sense be "good stuff," because of getting rid of "old stuff"?) and, literally, my father and a present - a blouse. Was my dreaming picking up on the near future?

I'm a man. I have a gun and I'm in a battle. I shoot a person's hand right off. I wake up. I didn't like that at all.

Later...

I'm levitating in horizontal position, face-down. I say to my youngest, "Hey, H, watch this!" I spin around like a dial, extremely rapidly. Distinct kinesthetic sensations.

H replies, "He's dead."

I wake up. I know it's not the death dream. Does H mean the man from the previous dream?

There's a tap dripping.

Later, a wise woman shows me a book that contains information of alternate dimension creatures and craft. I become a bit absorbed by what appear to be different coloured UFOs. She seems a bit annoyed with this.

Later, I'm required to help defend a young brunette woman with a psychic gift.

A few days ago, a former student at my old school approached G, my husband. She complained she was having trouble in English and wasn't doing as well anymore and that she was really stressed. She asked G to ask me to send her the powerpoint presentation her teacher had used and that I had made because she hadn't been able to get it all down (she has a health problem that affects her arms). Then she said she'd been so stressed she'd had weird dreams and was afraid she's cracking up.

I have to admit to having a real soft spot for L. She's a very talented, positive, friendly person and, because our families occasionally socialise in the same circles, she's one of those kids I've taught who feels more like a niece.

So, L emailed me. She hadn't said a lot about her dream other than she'd heard massive cracking sounds and had continued to hear them throughout the day.

I emailed her in response, sent her the powerpoint and some study advice. I also asked her some specific questions about her experiences. As I suspected, it had been an OBE. She'd heard the "helicopter blade" sounds my son F had recently experienced, bi-located, saw herself in bed and experienced lights. Luckily there'd been no sitter on the threshhold on this occasion. So, I gave her a little information and reassured her that she isn't cracking up and that, in fact, there are people actively seeking such experiences.

I also gave her some advice on the problems she was having with bullies. This was the cause of her stress more than anything.

It occurred to me that the woman in the dream could be an older version of L. There were, upon consideration, strong similarities.

Have you had any other dreams of anyone named Ike, or Josephine? We're sort of worried a little here.
This rotating thing in your dream worries me a little.

CF, I saw that on the news yesterday and instantly began to worry about you and those precious to you.

This is the third American thing I've picked up on this year but it's spontaneous and it's not always obvious until a bit later what it might be my dream-mind has pieced together. You know I'd be in touch in a flash if I experienced anything that would help you.

I'm watching the news as I type this. 200 buried in a landslide in Egypt. I wonder why I only pick up on some things and not others.

The spinning thing was unusual.

I hope you're okay CF! :?
