I've just started reading about them today. I've been trying to find some reliable sources, but can't seem to find any.

After looking further it seems the story is a complete hoax. If looked for the original publications, but can only find various UFO sites mentioning them. Even searching for scientists names give me nothing. If anyone finds the origins of this story then I wouldn't mind reading it.

I have some info on it on an old back issue of FATE mag. The thing is that it's on paper, and I don't know where it is (ATM I don't have access to the room it's in, as I have relatives staying with me) but by next week I can get in there and dig through my issues & I may (or may not) have some useful information.

Well if you've got some free time and feel like digging through your old magazines. I'm a bit distrated by other things at the moment, but I'll probably be able to find some time to read through it.
