I think I've heard that R.B. says to avoid sexual energy when doing raising.. why is this? Does anyone have any other opinions? I'm sure some will say that this puts too much focus on control and therefore dampens the emotions.

So what about tantric masturbation then :roll: To me it just seems like a chance to use more intense energy.

When you stimulate your chakras, stimulating your genital chakras can just overpower the rest of your practice, and then all the sensations would quickly just go there, and that would make you change focus. However everyone is different, and some wouldn't find it that distracting.

Or to get lost without going beyond your animal nature. The enormous energetic power of the reproductive energy can be a booster, but it can also as easily cloud and excite mind and prevent finding what really matters.

If you focus on a dense, overpowering energy, how can you find something subtle and very fine? The strongest sensation is not always best.

There are ways to use sexuality in cultivation, but be wary of the pitfalls.
