View Full Version : North-South orientation?

Until recently, I loosely followed Monroe's protocol for OBE'ing, and never bothered about aligning my body along the north-south axis, head north. As I feel it is beneficial to separate my OBE practice from daily life, I set up a practice space, which allows me to be precise about orientation. However, I also found not every OBE method mentions this orientation. What is your opinion on this? Is it relevant? Essential?

Hi cinnabar, for me it makes no difference. There may be good logic behind this but from personal experiences my positioning has never been north- south. Good luck.

For me it makes no difference either. The N-S thing came in when he thought the energy body was electromagnetic in nature, and could be adversely affected (for the exit, for navigation) by the earth's em flux. But he ultimately decided they made no difference, and I agree. The mind is a powerful thing, and beliefs in this respect are not always helpful.
