So my wonderful husband has just locked his wonderful wife out in the freezing cold for 2 hours.
If I had only acted on a quick intuitive but silly thought I wouldnt be writing this.
4.20 i go outside to greenhouse for a five minute job. I decide last minute to put his fleece on over my own fleece. 4.25 he opens dining room doors to say goodbye. Off to work. He gives me the house phone to keep with me in pocket. Why? Im only going to be 5 minutes, but I take it . I ask him to lock front door after him. As he goes a quick silly thought entered mind that wouldnt it be awful if he had locked me out. Just a silly thought.
Got on with job then time to go back in. Yes he had done it!!! Locked me out. He 'd locked the dining room doors. He'd been so thorough he'd even locked the conservative doors he had opened just before leaving.
HOWEVER because he had given me the phone I could ring his work but I didnt know the number. HOWEVER the last number called had been his work so it was recorded. I called.It was freezing HOWEVER It would have been even colder if I had not decided at the last minute to put his fleece over mine.
Should I be grateful for these HOWEVERS?
Just annoyed with myself for ignoring a silly thought. It could have all been prevented .
The coward didnt even stay long enough for my reaction.
Opened door, apologised and ran off back to work.
