What does the higher self manifest itself as

The other day I was really focusing in meditation on finding / contacting my higher self. Later that night during the end of my meditation I did see a glimpse of a bald blue being with pronounced facial features (white eyes and white teeth [when smiling]. Seemed very astral.

does that seem like a manifestation of my higher self?
