Wanna idle chat?
Have you noticed a maturation of your practice over the time/experiences? What do you think are the stages of maturation?
Arbitrarily speaking....Say from 1-100 experiences, still getting feet wet,
then 101-500,getting the hang of it, questioning your beliefs, etc.
501-800, think you know it all,
800-1000, you know nothing, ;)
Would you say much has changed in your core beliefs about say who you are as a person from starting out, to where you are at a later point?

I have to say, that I've become much more skeptical about everything ever since I started practicing altered states consciously.

Yeah, very much so, but skeptical in the discerning way(just a modifier for clarification).

Hi Zecora,
For me I think the more I experience the more I don't know because so much depends on the individuals state of mind at the time as to the experience.
I know a couple of authors who have admitted in later books they have written that they currently understand that what they first wrote in the beginning may have been misinterpreted by them because they were not at the level of understanding that they are now.
I find it everchanging, confusing, wonderful, just one big riddle.
I think for me I have to remind myself that this process of learning I think far exceeds my tiny brain.I think much is beyond our understanding but we can only cling on to what we can and try to make sense of it as it happens , have fun but understand that our expectations play a part and can infact be predictable when I have a troubled mind.
So for me ......it doesn't matter if I get interpretations of experiences wrong, but the key is to have a peaceful mind whilst awake , enjoy life and enjoy trying to understand but not to take anything or what anyone says about the afterlife as Gospel.

I love that perspective, very balanced and fun!
Personally speaking sometimes, just trying to comprehend the hows/whys makes my brain hurt, lol.
Thanks for replying Gals it's been great reading your responses! It prods me to look deeper within.
