What up everyone, just finished a little music video for a song my buddy and I produced a little while ago for fun. It's basically about the journey from confusion and negativity to self-realization and enlightenment. The video features some pretty neat effects. I was going for a strange and mysterious vibe. I'd be interested to hear some feedback. Enjoy :)

I liked it , the effects were good , but I couldn't make out what was going on (what the message of the video was) ?
was it supposed to show the astral realm or something? *confused*

Thanks. Well I gave a very basic summary in the OP: It's basically about the journey from confusion and negativity to self-realization and enlightenment.
To go a bit more in detail, the dude wakes up lost and confused- this represents being born in this life not knowing who we really are or what our purpose is. The interactions with the first two characters represent how we can be manipulated and negatively influenced by others. The final scene represents discovering the true nature of one's self, reality, life, etc. Becoming enlightened, becoming one with the divine. The long-hair dude gives the guy healing energy and direct knowledge of who he really is as a divine being and reveals the secrets of the universe, and he transcends the world and enters heaven.

I read this information here and saw it over again , this time it made more sense (you should paste the same info in the youtube blurb) , unless you want to viewer to take it as it comes.
I thought the video was about landing a possible soul mate after possible bad interactions with would be potential partners (and so assumed the long haired man to be a woman) hence the confusion (lol).

First of all congrats to the video. The effects are nice. For the music I think the voice is not clearn enough and gets lost in the guitar. I would make the voice slightly louder.
Ps the long hair dude looks girlish hehe

Thanks for the advice. Actually my buddy recorded the guitar and vocals on his iphone and sent them to me. He lives in the US and I live in Brazil and he doesn't have access to my studio equipment. So I had to make due with what I had. If you heard the original version you would probably be impressed by how much I was able to improve the quality.
All of the characters in the video were actually the same person- my wife! Gotta love video editing.
The video was actually a compilation of old footage I shot for a completely different project years ago. I struggled to do something meaningful with it and had to really push the boundaries in some parts. Some scenes are actually still images that I captured from parts of the footage and animated to seem like it was actually video because I needed the characters to do things that we hadn't planned for when I originally shot the footage. So it's not the greatest work, but it was fun doing the effects. I've made music videos for other artists that are of much higher quality simply because they were actually planned and prepared for.
