COPY: Astral Police?

I've heard talk of an astral police force and the idea that some out-of-body activities are "illegal" and subject to regulation from this police. Have you ever experienced this? In 15 years of travel, not once have I come across something like this.

Robert says somewhere that he doesn't thinks there is a astral police but if you do seartent things you will attach them and that will make your astral travel shorter and not enjoyable.

Dion Fortune writes about the astral police. I think that its entirely possible that there is a collective consciousness thoughtform around the idea of justice/police. I've never personally been arrested, escorted away or had reason to call upon them. I like the archangels for protection instead ;)

Could this idea of astral police have any relation to ' gatekeepers' .
These are thought to show in any form popping up very unexpectedly enough to frighten you off.

I've had a scary monster face whilst travelling fast through what seemed a dark tunnel going upwards. I just knew I wasn't to go any further.

I've had what looked like the talked about greys on top of a cliff when I was flying in astral and one saw me and jumped down a distance from where I had landed on the beach as if to frighten me off.i just flew off. It was fun.

I've had a vision of a deceased member of family appear in a flash with crosses made from plasters all over his face. Made him look frightening. This was when I landed in a beautiful place that looked familiar but more beautiful than physical.


I've seen a quick flash of a person dressed as a warrior from the past with all armour on when I felt I had been taken somewhere in astral for healing after a very low energy seemed to come into my space one night and I felt I could have killed my husband if I had had a knife in my hand but knew this would have been wrong. I seemed to be in some kind of crystal chamber floating around expelling verbally all the bad .( best way I can think of describing this.)
At the time I thought that this was a gatekeeper just checking I didn't overstay my welcome.

So I do believe there are places we shouldn't be maybe for the safety of the residents of that community. After all developing our astral bodies for travel does not mean that our behaviour is developed enough to interact with the residents.
But that's just my way of thinking.
I've got to say that I never felt any harm would come of me. It was enough just to suggest No Further!

I do not know if I am on the same page as you about this, and if I am not, do not mind my ramble.

I have noticed that there are entities or what ever they are, to trigger what you self carry inside of you, to make you aware of, if you do not understand you will make somekind of fantasy out of it, and it will take you more further away from yourself as it was meant. ..If you are scared off, to take time to ponder the reason why this happened. I got worried when I hear ...it was fun....this was not meant to be fun, but a Wake up call to help you go home and ponder over what was the real reason for this happening...Mostly it is the malady or malfunction or what to call it, maybe wrong feeling about right and wrong, or maybe naivity as it is in my case, or to be too bold, or wrongly feeling to powerful or what ever will if not corrected lead you in trouble.

I hope I do not offend anyone, it is not my intention, but this is my experience .

IA, I have to say that you may be correct in your thoughts in some people's cases but my own feeling on my own experiences have been enjoyable and fun.I don't think I would have had such a feeling of fun if there was a more important message. We all know to rely on and analyse how we feel about an experience.

I had a couple of my own experiences before reading Kurts name for them which helped me understand better. However I do believe that some may be created by higher self rather than already existing in astral such as the family member with crosses on his face.

I saw when I read what you wrote, a man in armor like chinese or japanese warior....it did awoke fear in me, and that was what I did react to...sorry for that, I hope you are starting to know me, I am so afraid small being, but I couldn´t feel any joy in that scen at all??...Maybe you did awoke something in me and it did not have anything to do with you, but it was your experience, I am sorry Susan, do not mind of me, I am in a very sensitive period and much are bubbling up from my unconsiousness to my awareness.

I remember, Robert at "OBE and Ethics" article, sets strong doubts about astral police existence since there is not enough astral resident forces in order to control behaviour of projectors.

But I've a doubt about Robert's position since our own Higher Self can exert such control.

And, from a Systems Engineering viewpoint, perhaps, inside each one of us there is a subprogram wich (like a non-erasable and deeply embedded belief system) keeps us away from violating ethical rules.

Although I have never encountered any "police" in any of my OBEs I have read several accounts by other OBEers of seeing/encountering police. On the now defunct groups.yahoo.com/astral_explorers website a man named Yuri would regularly post accounts of his explorations of various ethereal BSTs. He mentioned astral police on at least several occasions. I vaguely remember other posters also mentioning astral police but cannot immediately recall who they are.

BTW outofbodydude. Are you the same person who used to post on the old JonasRidgeway.com forums back in the day. Just curious.

besides gatekeepers the only Astral Police I've encountered is the "Natural" phenomenon of lowered personal vibration associated with malicious/negative thoughts/behavior, and the associated lower realm you subsequently find yourself in as a result. And the opposite of course high minded/benevolent thought can literally shoot you upwards to nicer surrounds. Literally a police-Force, if you will hehehe.

But why would there even need to be astral police? Aside from being annoying, how could you actual cause damages in the astral? I don't think there is much need for possessions there since whatever lived there can just imagine a new item. Unless the power of creation is unique to humans and we are more powerful than anything that would require a police force. Then there's the question of murder, if everything there is really just a point of consciousness then how can you really hurt someone in a permanent way aside from imprisonment, or banishment?

There might be police but I don't think there's really anything we could do to cause them to crack down on us. I imagine they'd be more preoccupied with the big baddies if anything.

The concept of astral police can just be a metaphor for natural protection, just like our expectation of privacy creates a protective shell when we're in the astral. There is no 'property' to protect, but there is territory- as territorial beings, we have unconscious built-in protection, at least in the real time zone, if we stay at home.
