Throat contractions

Hello guys, 3 days ago I got to week seven and i started practicing the exit techniques... I've had some OBEs before but none generated directly during practice. Lately I've been having involuntary throat contractions while attempting an OBE. This is very distracting to say the least and it has made me break my trance state more than once.

What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

That's weird- either throat chakra issues or some sort of vagus nerve reflex issue. The easy thing would be to work on your throat chakra (channel air energy into it when you do energy work?) or work on some other 'expression' issue, or try to figure out what other physical issue may be causing it- position, relaxation process, etc.

The thing is... when I first started doing chakra work I could barely feel the throat chakra, now I get pretty interesting sensations in all of them so I don't think it is a lack of work problem. Maybe the expression part has to do with it, I have always found it hard to express myself and I tend to "swallow" many emotions... I've worked that aspect in therapy and made a lot of progress but there is still work to do im sure...
