Atmospheric phenomena are still a bit of a wonder. I wonder if there are not cosmic phenomena of the same order? Consider that not so many eyes have had the privilege of seeing space phenomena, so should we expect anything more than unexplained phenomena waiting for science? It's intriguing.
Let me just say; the searches of science are without limit - there is no end to it. The more we know, the better the questions. Like a post I read recently; Is the Higgs Boson the end of Particle Physics? What a stupid question. I'd go so far as to say, man's curiosity is limitless, without bounds, and there is no knowledge that could hail the end of the search for it.
