Hello friends,

Last night I had to stay up working until 4:30AM. By the time I finished all my work I was exhausted. My eyes were literally closing and I felt like I could fall asleep within seconds. I decided to experiment with this state and see how long I can stay awake with my eyes closed. So I went to bed and lied down on my back (normally, I could never fall asleep in this position). I closed my eyes and was waiting for hypnagogic imagery to kick in. In half a minute I started hearing voices, loud buzzing noises, seeing lights, and all of the sudden I realized that I was paralyzed. It all happened within a minute or so, I believe! Then, vibrations followed and I easily separated from my body.

I don't know if this happened because I'm used to having OOBE's, or because it indeed was a good discovery/method. Give it a try!

I don't see what method you are referring to. Pretty much all the techs here depend on getting to a trance state, or staying on one after waking up, and it seems it's what you're describing here. Unless I missed something?

most do WBTB or direct trance induction, if some try to do it when going to bed they are tired but not 'dead tired', the technique is to stay up and keep yourself awake by force, till you have this state almost naturally and then lie down to phase ... I'd call it a strategy rather than a tech if you ask me though

I tried this once but then I fell asleep to fast because I could not hold it up

Most of my successful projections happen early in the morning, but I get up and then go sit in my chair. If I stay in bed I phase, which is fine when I want to do that.

This also happens with me many times.
