Schizophrenia generally indicates psychic abilities are present, which make OBE easier to achieve.

I recommend you see the works of Dr. Clarence Mackenzie, on what schizophrenia is and how to overcome it.

It is something to reflect upon. People used to say (some still do) that those who hear "voices" are mentally ill, schizo, etc. - but who knows, perhaps some of those voices are real? I have no personal experience of schizophrenia, but the "voices" issue does make me wonder who is "ill" or not.
