hey fellow friends,
i need some help. i am having difficulty projecting. i have a hard time trying to induce and altered state or deep state of relaxation and when i do get to that point i end up falling asleep and waking up the next morning wondering how the heck i fell asleep. I tried the method of sitting up and having a some discomfort but i am still unsuccessful. any anybody point me in the direction to helpful binaural beats or anything that could help me at being successful projecting out of my body.

Hey
well at first i lay down and i try to do some deep breathing excercises to help me relax and when i feel i am at a good point of relaxation i started to imagine energy moving throughout my body and trying to feel it. than after i start to feel some tingiling in my body i stop and i just try and let my mind go and get cleared of any thoughts. and this is the point where i am having trouble with. any pointers?

Instead of trying to clear away thoughts, observe them. As if you were someone else watching them. No judgement, no involvement, just witness yourself having them. Continue to do this, and if you feel any separation symptoms (http://www.astraldynamics.com.au/showthread.php?3522-Your-First-Conscious-Projection), go into energy body loosening (http://www.astraldynamics.com.au/showthread.php?7287-Energy-Body-Loosening-Methods), and/or an exit technique (http://www.astraldynamics.com.au/showthread.php?3977-Exit-Techniques). Or, just simply sit/lay there and listen to your earhiss as you observe the space in front of your closed eyes.

The problem of relaxing to much or beeing able to stay conscious might also have to do with what time at day you are doing your excercises and where you are doing them. If you are not doing it already, try a time where you feel you have the energy and at trhe same time feeling relaxed, and also try to not practice in your bed. your body is programmed for sleep there.
