View Full Version : Energy prestimulation and rasing... (Also in response to Soulsail.)

Dear Forum,
Inspired by Soulsail's success story, I wish to share something that maybe could be of help to some here. I deeply respect Robert Bruce's New Energy Ways and I thoroughly enjoy doing it feeling the sensations and such, I also enjoy doing it in the frame of mind of a little boy who is playing, having fun and I do have fun with it.
And if a successful projection depends on the amount of energy raised (as Soulsail's story suggests) then I believe that maybe many other ways, that also suits each individual person, to raise energy could be utilised as well. For me, I happen to be a breathworker (rebirther) and I just did a session of rebirthing and realised that this indeed also prestimulates the energies in a way that is of course very much in Robert Bruce's/MAP spirit. I raised energy after the session and felt very quickly the heat develop in my stomach (sub-navel storage) and whole-body tingling. I have not gotten to the trance- or loosening parts yet, so I did not attempt any exit (I am deliberately progressing very slowly) but what I would like to hand here is a piece of information that maybe could be useful to people if they have difficulty in getting enough energy raised. And, as also Robert Bruce stresses, as also my breathwork teacher stressed, physical sensations/experiences themselves are not really a good indicator of energy flow, when you're really trained energetically, you could just have a slight tingle when a massive amount of energy is on the move.
(I guess energy could also be raised by ecstatic dancing, love-making, acupuncture, yoga, chi gong, fasting...)

Hey Johnny,
Yes, I did a LOT of energy raising the night I got out (a full hour, which is a lot more than normal for me).
I've found Robert's NEW works well, but can be a bit trying if you don't "sense" the energy, so I did a bunch of research and came to a method that works uber-well for me: Pranic Breathing.
Basically, this is a meditation where I breath in using a 6-3-6-3 pattern (inhale for a six count, hold three, exhale six, hold three, repeat). Also, VERY important: do this through your nose, touching your upper palate with your tongue. This creates a natural full-body circuit. In fact, I think there are a few posts here on this method (Golden something, can't recall). I did Pranic breathing into each of my chakras, one by one, giving each considerable time and...well...pow. It works for me and allows me a clearer mind as I'm not trying to "sense" energy movements, they just come on their own.
best,
Soul.

Really interesting. Thank you. I surely have my tounge to my palate during energy raising, however I donät during breathwork and then I actually breathe through my mouth. But I here consider breathwork as prestimulation. I have also yet to come into week four in which I will be exploring this further.
We talked earlier a bit about quieting the mind, have you more so silenced your mind now? I saw that you kind of drifted of to sleep on your success night, was it sleep that quieted your mind do you think... I am all in favor of any kind of projection, and I am in awe and deep respect of your experience, it's just that I find it most appealing to pursue the controlled one, where I choose when to project... (I'm somewhat of a control freak :-) please excuse me for that.)

Are you talking about the energy raising method when you draw energy from your feet, up through the back, into the head on the inhale, and then let it flow down from your head into the energy storage area in the navel area?

Yes, when I say "energy raising" I mean the thing referenced in the MAP-book which you also describe.

I have been using the 6-3-6-3 method that SoulSail describes for a while now and for me it works well. At least it feels like it works well since after a while I can really feel the flow of energy in my body. I have yet to try and do it on individual chakras.
SoulSail, can you please describe what you do when you do "Pranic breathing into each of my chakras" a bit more precisely?
I'd like to try it out!

that is interesting about the "tongue to palate" thing. i've never put much thought into it, but when ever i do energy work, or meditate my tongue automaticly puts its self there, almost in an instinctual way. once i tried to meditate, while forcing my tongue to be at rest in the bottom of my mouth and i was completely unable to meditate....its weird, but im thinking there might be something to it.

Some very interesting techniques. Different things work for different people so it is important to experiment. Just out of curiosity, how often do you fine folks raise energy. I tend to do it 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the late afternoon. I do this at least 5 days a week. I also typically do chakra meditation 2-3 times per week. I feel like I may be a little lazy with chakra med. but was wondering how other peoples routines compared???

I used to do it every day- now it's once or twice a week. I need to make the time for it.

I work every free minute on my energy, if i think on it.
In the bus, in waiting rooms, while watching television, during the OBE-Attempts,...
I dont use breathing techniqes anymore. I control the energy "directly" and completely independent from breathing, what makes the controlling more effective, because the energy flows constant and not only in pulses. This took a longer time to learn it, but it was worth it.

Is that energy raising or chakra med? or both?

I also do a lot throughout my days. For me this is not as focused as when I'm sitting in a quiet area with nothing going on around me (obviously) but I do feel as though doing so is vitally important. As with anything else, it does get easier with time. I would like to know more about your technique on not utilizing breath in your energy work. Could you describe some of your practices in a little more detail?

The technique of breathless energy movement needs a bit abstraction. One focuses usually during breathing on a point to "drag" or "activate" the energy sensation. The physical support by breathing makes the focus for beginners easier. But it can also be done without support of breathing. One focuses on a point on or in the body and focuses simultanously on the energy sensation. One will learn then soon, how to "grab" and "drag" the energy directly.
Helpful for learning to focus on points is this method:
(M.3.10) Focus on points within and near of the own body A technique, which can support the application of other methods, is the focusing of a point in the own body or in the near of the own body. This method itself is probably not so really supernatural, but a good point fixation can support many supernatural abilities and is for many methods even necessary. It is a very tricky thing, wich can bring, in combination with other methods (especially those of the group "M.2" and similar), quite interesting results. One focuses first on a (free selectable) point in the body, just to feel, how exactly this place feels. If one changes now the place, one notices, that the observed place is always point-like. It can be moved, like a point, through the entire body. Who already masters "M.2" in part or entirely, might notice, that the energy feels diffrent through the moving of the observation point. If you master that, try to move the point outside of the body. The imagination to follow mentally a bee, can help. If one does this over short distances outside of the body, one notices, that the body areas unter the "bee" feel addressed, although the "bee" is over it. If one lets the "bee" now circling around the head, one notices an interesting sensation during strong approximations and accurate fixing. To get a better feel for the approach, one can also hold a pencil or something in the proximity of the head. In most cases one will feel a strange sensation, when it is brought very close to the body (without contact).

Is that energy raising or chakra med? or both? I was talking about energy raising, but I do chakra work a few times a week- I never did primaries more than that, except when they're 'covered' by energy raising.
I do love sponging, though, and I try to do it every day, although I don't succeed-lol.
I usually do all of the above when I meditate, unless I do K Yoga, which does work the chakras, but differently than NEW.

I have been looking into yoga lately as I feel it would be spiritually and physically beneficial. How long have you been doing K yoga? I'm not sure if you have answered this question before, but have you awakened your Kundalini yet? On a side note I have signed up for Reiki level 1 class! I'm pretty pumped for it! I just love learning anything energy related.

I'm going to go with a year, although it's not strictly correct- I had an instructor about two to three years ago, I didn't practice at all for many months, and now I try to practice at least once a week, and have been doing so for about six months. So I imagine that it comes out to maybe a year, more or less.
I'm not sure if you have answered this question before, but have you awakened your Kundalini yet? I've 'awakened' it, but it hasn't come up- or maybe it has, but I don't think so. I have occasional energy effects (some really cool, some really uncomfortable) but I certainly haven't gotten any wiser or better able to handle stuff. So....
On a side note I have signed up for Reiki level 1 class! I'm pretty pumped for it! I just love learning anything energy related. I hear having practiced NEW makes Reiki easier to learn.

can't figure out how to delete this post.
Click Edit Post and you will get more buttons on the right side. Click 'Delete' and you will get yet more buttons, this time on the left side. Then select the one you want: Either 'soft delete' (which hides the answer so you can go back to it if you want to) or 'Physically remove', which makes it go away forever.
Cheers

honestly, i'ved never used breathing as a focusing/energy work technique until recently...i kind of learned it backward. i started with learning how to sense my own energy, then how to activate certain points. after that i noticed little beads(feels like big copper BB's rolling and leaving a trace on my body) of energy moving to and from, aswell as between my energy centers. I found this to be kind of curious, so i started focusing on that movement and slowly learned how to control the movement over the last 2 years...i've hardly mastered it but its nice to be able to control what i do with my energy...
however, its only in the last 6 months or so that i have started to use breathing as part of my work....as i said, i've sort of learned it backwards. i find the breath useful when i am having trouble focusing and clearing my mind, but it isn't neccisary for energy work.

IMO you didn't learn it 'backwards'- Robert teaches energy raising independent of breathing, and then, only if you find it necessary (or convenient) you use your breath to focus the movement.
The way I learned it (from him) was- energy sensing, energy moving, moving quicker, then primaries. After you're moving energy quickly (as in bouncing or circuits) he tells you to use your breath if you find it helpful. I do, so when I teach it, I tell the person to breath in when the energy is going up, and out when the energy is going down and in, only because of the association with elements and my own positive results from doing so.

Energy raising...went through NEW treatise, happily with the results/sensations RB said to expect...have been doing his recommended daily regimen for a couple of weeks now 3-4 times a day (yes, I'm a Newbie!) That energy-raising sans breathing link sounds interesting...the one thing I've noticed myself is trying to maintain everything I want to accomplish during inhale. More than once I've felt frustrated...sponging up through feet...up spine...then I do a multiple split awareness and sponge up through my hands/arms to join sponged energy at my spine/neck, then I "use" one spinge to bring all that energy down front of face and eventually to the sub-naval storage. Trying to use my breathing as a step-gauge has left me stretching my inhale to the point I'm not relaxing...trying to gather up all this energy drawn from hands/feet, then bringing to storage on exhale...I'm going to keep using breathing though...to new at NEW (sorry...couldn't resist!) to change methodology...will just fine-tune current method.
