Is energy shielding actually an effective way to counter negs?

Is energy shielding actually an effective counter measure against negs? Just wondering what your personal thoughts were on this subject? I have read Energy work and your opinions there, but it's been a few years since you've released that and your opinions and experiences may have changed. I've also seen the shielding threads on this froum, but they all say different things and it gets confusing.

So in practice, does it hold up? Is it effective?

Shields are only as effective as the time and effort, and skill, put into creating and maintaining them.

It is also wisdom to learn a good banishment method, as given in my book.
