So how does the Buddhist "po-wa meditation" work, anybody got any experience with it?

Well, that was a fascinating link, thank you.

I know little of it, though am working towards that practice (I am training in Chod). What he said in the link actually describes things pretty well from what little I know: it is a preparatory training for the time of death. I gather this is practiced with rituals and meditations, and most likely with many variations depending on the lineage and teachings of that Buddha school.

Again, I'm newly walking the path, so please take this with a grain of salt. Curious if anyone here can speak to more. I do have some thoughts on astral work and Buddhism in general I've been musing over...

Phowa is pretty similar to the "High Level Projection method" in the first edition of Astral Dynamics.
