I was detained by my "derrière"

For certain I have been leading up to this as I have been having lucid dreams. After having one with my brother and then having probably a memory from childhood, I decided to try projecting. Early morning of course, after the heavy REM sleep is over. I decided to try projecting but thinking that my hearth chakra was probably going to stop me but surprise it did not... my butt did. I could not lift off my bed! It was clear that I was having an OBE since I was in my bed and in my bedroom, which is never the case when I dream. I am still having problems with awareness, and it's clear that my energy still need work but I am getting there. Only one strange thing happened, the smoke alarm triggered my house alarm 15 minutes after this happened. I investigated and there was nothing there! Can someone explain this one?

That area is where the earth chakra is (well, close anyway) so chances are you need to do some work on grounding issues (too much, not enough?).
As to the smoke alarm, I believe that it either was coincidence or that your energy expansion affected it- I do think there is physical interaction when an energy body first expands when you are ready to project, and can be felt by the woodwork (there is a subject that speaks of this entitled "Things that go bump in your Head.")

I believe you about the woodwork... I do experience it when I do energy work. Mmm... will have to figure out something about the smoke alarms... they almost sent the fire department. I don't think explaining that my energy body expanded and caused the fire alarm to go off would get me off the ticket. :D
