Wise "dream self"

Last night I dreamt that I was arguing with M., a manager from my firm. But suddenly I change topic and advise him about his work/life balance and I totally hit the nerve. During the dream we talk about at least another issue I don't want to write about, though.

What amazed me when I woke up is that all the things I said to him could be applied to myself, as if everything I had said was directed at myself really. I can easily imagine he represented an aspect of myself, I know what qualities to look for to make that comparison. The wild thing is that I knew what to do and was expressing it. The "dream me" knew better. 8)

Very cool.
Every once in a while I have dream in which I am helping someone and when I wake I realize I was doing the same thing- the 'problem' applies to my life and the answer is helpful.

For a normal dream this is the first time this happens for me though.
